I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years providing services to families, individuals, and couples.  An extensive portion of my service has been working with children and families in the foster care system.  I have experience providing individual, family, and couples counseling to heterosexual, gay, lesbian, and transgender clients.  I have also worked with individuals in therapeutic residential settings and diverse populations.   A recent focus has been servicing dually diagnosed and emotionally traumatized families and individuals living in an urban setting.

 I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Certified Sex Therapist, and a Transgender Care Therapist. I have attended trainings for sex offender treatment and DBT therapy. I have facilitated trainings on working with LGBTQ clients in a clinical setting, working with LGBTQ youth in foster care, and Sex Addiction. I earned a Master's Degree in Social Work at the University Of Maryland School Of Social Work.  While earning my graduate degree, I simultaneously worked in different clinical capacities in various settings. I received Board Certification in Sex Therapy through the Sex Therapy Training Institute out of Miami, Florida and a Transgender Care Therapy Certification from the International Transgender Certification Association.
